Letters after names are officially called “post-nominal letters.” They can be earned for a number of accomplishments. Like every profession, there are fly-by-night contractors who give our industry a bad name.
Nothing causes the blood to boil more than when our professional builders, remodelers, or trade contractors hear stories of a home or business owner being burned by con-artists or unskilled workers. Our members keep their ears to the ground and for the most part, know who is licensed, bonded, and insured and how to protect a large investment such as a home.
However, scammers and those who don't follow protection laws bring down the reputation of the industry and of the true professional who believes their career honorable, takes pride in their knowledge of the latest codes & products, and maintains a high-level of education.
You'll find that those who pursue education to a level represented by post-nominal letters are professionals you can trust.
