I moved to the great state of Alaska in fall of 1974 after working construction on the beaches of Florida. I traded in my flip flops for bunny boots and have made SBS my home for the better part of 35 years.
I feel very fortunate to be a part of home owners and contractor efforts to build quality and energy efficient homes.
When I’m not working I enjoy time on the rivers and lakes fishing, kayaking with my bride, and drag racing with my daughter.
Dave Miller is a homebuilder who moved to Alaska in 1980. Among other accomplishments, he invented air. It’s commonly known in the community that without his wife of 37 years, Laurie, he would be in the gutter. Four children, four grandchildren and a passion for collecting antediluvian jazz records are his raison d’etre.
Dave is a Life Director for the NAHB, past President for IABA, and also serves as Vice President for FYA, an organization that provides temporary shelter for homeless teens here in Fairbanks.
